A vintage three drawer dressing table with mirror.

The vintage dressing table with mirror is from the 's. It has three drawers with their original metal handles. The back rail is very attractively decorated and there is further incised decoration down the front legs and mirror supports. The top surface of the piece has been refurbished but every other part is in its original state. Unfortuntately one of the decorative brackets between the body and the front leg is missing and the mirror is showing signs of age but it is a fine looking piece of furniture which would grace a bedroom. The dressing table measures 90 cms long, 46 cms wide, and 80 cm high. The height to the top of the mirror is 144 cms. The piece was originally retailed by Pioneer Stores Ltd of Bold St, Liverpool and there is a label inside one of the drawers attesting to this fact. Antique/Vintage wooden 2 drawer cabinet with side shelves.

I know very little about the history and purpose of this cabinet, except for it was bought in Auction around 20 years ago. I have been trying to research the original use of the cabinet as it has specific side shelves, which fold down. Someone has suggested it's a book press or maybe for tea time or sewing.
