An expressive and outstanding instrument with a pure and perfect tone. The pianos previous owner, a Director of Music, took care of this Concert Grand and had it regularly tuned. In , the piano was re-sprayed and the brass wheels and trimmings were refinished. There is some minor wear on the casing, but a normal amount for a piano of its size and commensurate with being manufactured in . The internals and soundboard are pressure blasted free of dust and all points are lubricated. The large piano legs are recently retreaded and new bolts fitted to them. The wheels are in perfect condition, are oiled and move freely. They are fitted with locks to secure piano from rolling while playing. This instrument began its life in Belgium, was shipped to London, from there to the Music Director at Edgbaston High School for Girls in Birmingham and finally to Wexford, Ireland. Danemann are a significant British manufacturer of very high quality pianos, based in Islington, London. W. Danemann has a reputation for producing pianos renowned for their fine tone and touch. From they produced a wide range of pianos, with actions of high quality built by Renner and Schwander, from small to large uprights, 5'2" grands, 6'8" grands and up to 9'6" concert grands.
