6 YEAR OLD WELSH SECTION D GELDING

With a very heavy heart I am writing this. I have decided to come to the heart breaking decision to sell my lovely 6 Year old welsh section D gelding, Thunder. Thunder is good to load, catch and with the farrier. Last year he was lightly broken taking it all in his stride, I turned him away for the winter but due to work commitments and moving house I no longer have the time he needs to bring him back into work. He has such a lovely character and always willing to please. He is perfect to lunge and I have started to sit on him in the stable and he is fine so wouldn't take much to get him going again. He comes with bridle and rugs. I think in the right hands he would make a lovely workers pony or hunting pony as he's got a good jump on him. We have hunted, shown, show jumped, dressage, hacked and taken part in fun rides. He is a true competition pony in the making, he has the presence and desire to win, but he is also a complete saint out hacking on his own or in company. He will live in or out and is extremely low maintenance. Q is a fantastic ride out hunting, he will stand in-between lines walk on the buckle in-between lines, great with the hounds and will also walk and be held back to do gates ect. He will also lead over any type of jumps in the field. He also loves the sea and will paddle along all day. Gladiator is a clever and attractive pony who could do any job. He has been in work for approx. 18 months, in which time he has proved himself to be safe, bold, quick to learn and useful. He loves to jump and is a safe hack, and has been ridden by all members of the family from 6 years old up to adults. He would be a quiet lead-rein pony for an older child, but is talented enough to be so much more. He has been to pony club camp and shown himself to have excellent flatwork and jumping. He has played polo, swum in the river with a rider on board, and is bold at everything he has been asked to do. He has hunted both with a child on and off the lead rein, and with a light adult. He has even carried a sidesaddle with both adult and child riders, and was totally unbothered. Although he is overheight to show as a section C, he would make a lovely working hunter pony (up to 14hh). his flatwork is good enough for pure dressage, and he never refuses a jump, safely carrying an adult rider over some huge ditches when hunting. He would make a perfect pony club pony, or could be a mother-daughter share as he can carry an adult weight easily. He is good to clip, load and handle. He doesn't buck, rear or bolt.
