Sunncamp Continental 4 SE Retro Canvas Steel Frame Tent

For sale is our spacious Sunncamp Continental 4SE 4 berth steel frame tent. This is a proper old skool badass tent, not some flimsy nylon pop-up thing. Manufactured in , it is in excellent condition, the canvas barely has a mark on it. Has always been dry stored. A couple of the spring retainers in the poles are broken but this doesn't affect the tent when pitched. The exterior cotton is waterproof. Sleeps 4 adults with kit and cooker in comfort. It has two 2-berth interior double bedroom tents with sewn in groundsheets, zip doors and fly-mesh ventilation. There is also a large living area and small alcove (with separate window and vents) for putting up a cooker. In front there is a panoramic window (with curtains) leading to a large awning (seats 4 people in case of inclement weather or too much sun). The sun canopy means you could easily use this as a drive away awning for a camper van as its the right height for a side door. The tent is tall enough to stand up in (even under the awning). The tent has an H-shaped steel tubed frame with 6 legs, is easy to pitch (original instruction booklet included!) and is extremely sturdy. The tent comes in its original two grey cotton duffel bags each about the size of a boxing punch bag. The sturdy construction means that it is bulky and heavy (I'm guessing maybe kg altogether), so you need to be going on your camping holiday with an estate car and/or a coffin on the roof to fit it in. This is a large canvas tent with 3 separate bedrooms. Standing room all around living area. It is my favourite tent but is now pretty old and too large and heavy to put up. It used to take 2 people about an hour to pu up and peg in and was pretty hard work as tent poles are a heavy metal. Once up though it was a joy and could be cooked in quite safely. Home from home if that's what you wanted. All intact including instructions but I cannot find tent pegs, they were of the heavy duty kind. It was one of 2 tents left standing in a field of tents in windy west Wales after a very heavy storm. This is the Rolls Royce of tents and will give 20+ years of camping and stands up to any weather unlike nylon ones. Easy to erect in 30 mins. Blue and Grey. Nothing to go wrong unlike modern tents, no blow up frame to puncture, no fibre glass poles to snap. No rustling in windy conditions so you feel like you are inside a crisp packet. No condensation either as canvas is a natural, breathable fabric that is 100% waterproof. We have seen countless nylon tents really suffer in windy conditions during our many years of camping but this tent will remain as solid as a rock and will be a safe home for you and your family that will be admired by other campers everywhere you go. The windows have proper curtains and you can even roll one down for cross through breezes whilst still having a mosquito net in place. The front can be rolled up to make an awning and provide easy access to the inside of the tent. It has a side door too which can be rolled back out of the way on hot sunny days or unzipped halfway to keep little ones inside safety whilst still getting fresh air. The roof lining is lovely as it just clips onto the tent poles and all the roof poles are then hidden away making the tent look luxurious. The kitchen area has curtains so you can cook and then just shut the curtains and hide it away. This would be very handy for keeping children out of the way from cooking equipment. There are two separate bed tents, side by side. One is a four berth with a roll up wall in the middle so you can either sleep four in there or two sets of two. The other bed tent is completely separate and sleeps two people comfortably. In between the bed tents there is a special pole you can clip on that makes a handy wardrobe pole that is hidden from view. The floor carpet is a breathable soft mat which is never cold on your feet and spilt drinks just drain away through the holes. It is washable and the only kind of mat that campsite owners like because it is breathable and does not make the grass die underneath it. This will be included as a free extra. We also have all the necessary equipment to sell eg, larder, tables, cooker and cooker stand, electric hook up lead and power box, electric mini oven, camping toilet, and other bits and pieces if you are interested in them too. Large Vintage 60s/70s Canvas Frame Tent 6-8 Berth

A lovely vintage 60s/70s canvas frame tent. Large and will fit 6-8 people with lots of living space and windows. It measures 14x15ft when up with 2m headheight, so very roomy. It fits into two bags of 130cmx35cm approx. Bags have holes due to age but tent is importantly intact. Frame is colour coded so suprisingly easy to put up. I have used it once and would love to keep it but have no room to store it as I live in a boat now. It's much more sturdy and nicer to camp in that modern tents in my opinion.
