  6' 8" Egg - Hollow Wooden Surfboard

I'm selling my.....  RevSurfboards  hollow wooden surfboard.   It’s a beautiful  6′ 8″ x 21″ x 2 ½” –  Tri-fin Egg.   This versatile board is a great addition to your board quiver.  Not only is it stunning to look at, but also versatile on the break.  With plenty of volume, and the classic egg shape it works great in the weak messy summer swells… but is just at home in head high swells that turn up every so often! If you're looking for the ultimate 'eco' surfboard  this is it.  Hand made from sustainably sourced Western Red Cedar, and finished in a traditional beeswax & linseed oil coating.   The finish has been used on old school boats and boards for decades.   It’s a tried and tested, but it’s a natural finish so needs a little more maintenance than your standard epoxy or glassed board:  Just rinse it off with fresh water after a surf and give it a couple of fresh coats of beeswax/linseed oil every so often.  It takes no time at all and will preserve this board for a long life.  This is a board that will mature in colour and tone as the years go by!  I've been surfing it this past year and it looks sweet!   The board comes with a set of red tri-fins, and a couple of tubs of the oil/wax mix with the board.  The surface finish is slightly tacky, so removes the need to normal  surf wax.  I'll also supply the stainless steel vent plug (and some spares) - you just need to take it out when your storing the board to equalise any internal pressure build up. Being made from natural materials this board is heavier than your normal foam surfboard (weighing in at about 8.5kg).  You’ll notice it when carrying the board to you favourite break, but when you’re in the surf all that weight turns into momentum - it's agile and feels great under your feet. If you want to find out more, and to see how I made this board have a look at 'Revsurfboards' online.   If you’re after something a bit shorter or a different profile, I’m happy to build a new one to your spec from £650.        If you would like the padded bag that goes with this board please do give me a shout.  I was keeping it for one of my other boards, but am happy to sell it to you for £30.  I can add this to the sale price before your pay for the board.   The board is in great condition - no major scraps, dents or knocks.  I'm based near Redland in Bristol, so am very accessible via the M32 (from Jcn 19 of the M4) or M5 (Jcn 17). I'd consider shipping the board via a courier, but I'd imagine we'd be probably be talking £40 P+P.  If you're interested in having it shipped, let me know and I'll look into the cost. This is my 6'8 B.52 shortboard I'm selling. Shaped by Nigel Semmens and it's in excellent condition, with no dings or repairs on the board. It's a swallow tail, so is a good all rounder and holds very well. Buoyant board and duck dive well. The board is a good shape for beginners and for competent surfers. Comes with a leash and fins. I'll clean all the wax from the board, unless you want me to leave it on. Collection is preferred, but can arrange delivery via a courier at buyers cost if necessary.
