Import Les Paul Style Guitar Wiring Harness Upgrade with Orange Drop Capacitors Ideal upgrade for many imported Les Paul style guitars such as Epiphone, JHS Vintage etc. 50’s Gibson Style Wiring Description To get as close to true 50's Les Paul tone as possible, you’ll want to do the curiously named “50's Wiring” on your pickups. This wiring is also commonly referred to as “Vintage Wiring” – Gibson used to wire Les Pauls this way in the 50's but eventually stopped and changed to what we consider “standard” wiring today. However, the ’59 Les Paul made appearances on so many legendary recordings that this wiring is still a desired and sought after tweak to your modern day Les Pauls (or any dual-humbucker equipped guitar). This harness contains 4 x 500k CTS Logarithmic Medium Shaft Pots 2 x.022 Orange Drop capacitors Pre wired with high quality cloth covered wire. Fitted to hardboard base for transport only. 500k CTS Logarithmic Medium Shaft Potentiometers As supplied in many high end quality guitars offering a smoother feel than the pots supplied on most import guitars. They have a 9.5mm diameter thread shaft which will require most Epiphone or import guitar fixing holes to be enlarged slightly to accommodate. Each pot is supplied with 1 nut, 1 x locking washer and 1 x flat washer. Wiring diagram included. Note: Threaded length not suitable for Gibson carved top Les Paul guitars. USA Gibson ES- - OHSC, 50s wiring and Bare Knuckle Capacitor

An excellent example of a Gibson ES335 with some striking figuring. This guitar is in very good condition for a 16 year old guitar and has been upgraded with the 50s wiring mod and new Bare Knuckle capacitors. This makes a huge difference to the usability of the volume and tone knobs, and the guitar sounds much more clear and defined than stock. Pickups are the stock Classic 50s. Original capacitors included in the original Gibson hard case (also in great condition). Mods were installed by Guitar Guitar in Epsom and I can supply the receipt for work done on request. Playability is excellent and sounds phenomenal. Only selling as I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that I'm not a " scale kind of guy, and this is simply not getting played enough to justify keeping. It features a mahogany body and neck, maple top, rosewood fingerboard, with that slightly beefier ‘50s neck profile. It has a certain vintage vibe to it, without going the relic route. There are nice clean tones from both pickups and great rock tones. The sustain rings out with authority, and there are warm, deep lows, and a wonderful high end bite without being shrill. Les Paul (cherry burst) - Seymour Duncan P/ups and Bigbsy Trem (Epiphone by Gibson)

Epiphone Les Paul by Gibson Gorgeous cherry sunburst - other than one ding on the bodywork (see the photos), the maple top really does have a lovely finish... real depth to the figuring. I've played a few epiphones and this one really is top-end. Proper set neck (no bolts here!), solid mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard... it plays beautifully and has a great tone. It's got (professionally installed) Seymour Duncan pickups: a ’59 in the neck, a JB in the bridge – a classic combination! (combined RRP £150 approx). The JB is marketed as the 'ultimate hot-rodded humbucker' (and it really sings), while the '59 is very versatile with a full low end. It came with an epiphone-branded B5 style Bigbsy which I had switched out (professionally) for the Bigsby B70 you see in the photos (RRP £150 approx) Sold with padded gig bag (which needs a stitch or two on one of the seams, but does the job).
