  50m 18-3 Grey Irish linen - bowstring,

One 50 metre skein of grey Irish 18 x 3 cord linen thread. This is very good quality thin strong polished thread suitable for a natural material bow string, bow string serving, arrow binding or the binding of fletchings. A recent customer emailed me having received and tested his linen to say "You're right, it is good quality. I'll have a black and green before they all go!" Looking at the original packaging I believe this to have been made some time ago, but it has not deteriorated with age. I don't believe that this quality of linen thread is made any more. I purchased this to make it available to archers though it has many uses in other crafts. The colours I offer would give some attractive options in a linen flemish twist string, servings or add a nice touch to your war arrows! This thread is very strong for it's size. Though it is just 0.6mm (1/42 inch) across I cannot break it with my hands. Tests I have carried out show that it has a breaking strain in the region of 17.4 pounds. This means a 12 strand string should be about right for a 50lb bow using the usual four times bow strength rule. Please note that I accept payment via Paypal only.

15.3 grey Irish gelding, good to shoe, catch, trim, hack, load etc done all pc activities in previous home. Hunted in Ireland and been cubbing this season with the north staffs hunt where he behaved impeccably. Has done unaffiliated eventing, show jumping, dressage, arena eventing etc would easily affiliate British eventing at cm with scope to go higher. Just putting the feelers out for 2 beautiful irish mares I have. Full green books, Both were bought from Ireland wild by myself, both are rising 4 come jan. the dappled grey Draught is pure and stands at 16.2 to make 17hh+ she is backed walk trot canter in the school and on a hack, good to load, travel and with traffic, pops a fence (scopey) would make a fantastic hunter, 2 sisters in Ireland are huntsmans horses. Ard Grandpa lines. The irish sports horse is currently just over 16hh, to make 16.2 clover hill lines, lightly backed walk trot canter on a hack and turned away, good to load catch travel fine with traffic not as far on as the draught though, will make an eventer/hunter. They are both currently turned out to grow abit more over winter. The plan was to sell them next spring after more education however price will rise significantly, they are currently living out in winter woollies, but I would sell from field for this price as someone may get a bargain for what they are going to become! Donegal.They are absolutely lovely and have sat in the sideboard drawer for 33 years untouched.Ardara lies on the Atlantic coast of County Donegal. It is a village of just two streets and it is widely known as Ireland's capital in the manufacture of handwoven tweed and hand knitwear. Tweed and knitwear from Ardara is stocked by leading stores around the world.
