She has been turned away over the winter to have a break, now she is ready to be retrained. We have just started riding her again and she is proving to be a lovely mare. Would excel in RoR classes or dressage as she has lovely paces. She was pulled out of racing as she did not enjoy it and we felt that she deserves to excel in something that she does enjoy. Sadly for sale through absolutely no fault of her own is my daughters mare. My daughter is now ready to move onto a bigger second pony and I'd like to find one for us both to share. My daughter was a nervous wreck when we first got Sky 2 years ago and is now full of confidence and jumping 1m on her. I can happily leave Sky & Summer alone in the school while I'll get on with poo picking etc which I never could imagine I would be able to do! She is good to hack alone/company and first/last. Doesn't Buck, bolt, rear, bite, kick. Is good to catch, handle, load, travel, farrier, dentist. Will only be clipped with a lot of sedation so I just don't bother now. Will happily live in or out, with mares or geldings. Is also happily barefoot. Sky is a very docile mare and can seem quite lazy in the school and will only ever have the rare forward going day! She does really enjoy her jumping so would like her to go to a home where she will be competed. She is a forward going talented jumper, being especially brave and bold when it comes to cross country. She has a big scopey jump, currently clearing 1m+ at home and has been out competing locally at 90cm, always going clear and being placed. She is nicely schooled on the flat, will work in an outline with ease and has produced some very nice tests when out competing BE. Although she is forward going, she is snaffle mouthed in all phases and not silly or strong. Scout loads and travels brilliantly, stands on the box with her hay and is impeccable at farm rides, the beach etc. she goes first or last. She is great to clip, for the farrier, be bathed, mane/tail pulled and to catch, being turned out in a mixed herd with no issues. Scout had been starved and was in a poor state before coming into the care of my client 3 years ago. Due to this, she was diagnosed with ulcers. They have been treated by a vet and with maintenance they have not returned. Because of this, she needs all year round turn out.
