The soft pad is a very comfortable design, and is upholstered in premium black leather. The leather is in superb condition with absolutely no rips or heavy scuffs, but does have the usual patina for chair of this age () from previous boardroom use. The base & frame are the polished aluminium finish and is in overall very good condition. There are some minor scratches to back edges of the aluminium armrest, which is consistent from the chairs being positioned next to one another around a large boardroom table. (As pictured). Mid 50-ties, Sea foam Green (SFG), Zeeland Michigan, shipped from Venice California; The first transition armshell between Zenith and Herman Miller production.This chair is a deep and beautiful seafoam green. This is not an ordinary seafoam armshell either...   it is a venice shell.
