We currently have 4 greyhounds with us who are in a pretty bad state. All are friendly young dogs who need a bit of time to find their paws and recover from their recent ordeal. We have two boys and two girls at the moment. Duke (picture) is one of them. If you can offer a home to a greyhound in need we would love to hear from you. 5 Yorkie + Yorkie x Shih Tzu, 1 Male/4 Female - Shrewsbury

We have 5 members of the same family here with us – 3 Yorkies (one boy and 2 girls) and 2 Yorkie x Shih Tzu girls. They all need homes, BUT our Disney ending would be that all 5 go together OR at least in two’s and maybe one with another resident dog. What we need to ensure is that every one of them is living with at least one other terrier as they have always, always, always lived as part of a larger pack. We want to make sure they always have the company of another dog, if not of each other. Full details of each one will follow once they have all finished their vet treatment and are fighting fit. They range in age from 14 years (Jake, the only boy – his tongue is the give away!) to just 6 years (one of Jake’s daughters whose Mum was a pedigree Shiddie). All are in Shrewsbury and are all absolutely delightful little characters. All will need fantastic homes and all will need to have a thorough home check done. They are afraid and wary around cats so please don’t ask. We would also rather avoid homes with small children, as they are not used to being around children so it’s only fair to avoid that for them too. I know, we are not asking for much are we? If you can offer all 5 a home, we will need to be comfortable you have the means to look after them all properly, time, space, love and funds. Molly, Female, Staffie - Shrewsbury

This is sweet staffie baby Molly. Just 6 months old and already in kennels. She was rescued from a home where there were 14 dogs and no garden. Molly is loving the grass under her toes. She is an extremely friendly, loving young girl, who is very keen to be loved and fussed. It’s hard to resist her sweet little face. Needless to say, she hasn’t been used to being on a lead, but she is now. She will need a family who will accept that she’s had a rubbish start to her short life and will help her to catch up. A lovely name for a lovely girl! At about a year old Flora has clearly not had any input and has no manners whatsoever but shes absolutely delightful ?? She couldn’t be homed with small kids as she has no boundaries and if there was a biscuit around, she’d have it in an instant, LOL. She has also had to fight for food and has scars on her muzzle to prove it. She’s skinny as a rake, so we need to feed her up before rehoming, and she probably needs a family with hound experience. This is Lady. A sweet older girl who, at 10 years old, should be snuggled on a sofa, not sat in kennels. Beryl, Female, JRT - Shrewsbury

Please say hello to dinky tripaw girl Beryl. She has been with us a while, but is only now ready for re-homing. We had to allow her some time to adjust to her leg amputation (the result of an old injury being left untreated) before we could consider her for re-homing. Not a lot is known about this fab little lass. All we can say is that she is in her twilight years and has been worked hard in the past. Some ruthless person had her and didn’t have her health/welfare at heart. Therefore, we are looking for a retirement sofa for Beryl where she will receive lots of cuddles and have all the pampering she deserves. She will only require gentle walks, but a garden to sniff and run around in is a must for this smashing little lass. Beryl is in foster at present with other dogs and has been great with them all.
