3yo 15h1 appy x maxi cob mare

15h1/2 Appaloosa x maxi cob mare. Born May and backed lightly about 12 weeks ago. She is mature for her age mentally and took to work happily. Schooled in walk, trot and canter and is starting to work in a natural outline (no gadgets used, just poles and hill work). She has the beginnings of some lateral work (leg yield, shoulder fore, turn on the forehand) and is becoming more uphill in her movement. Has a phenomenal jump loose though has not jumped under saddle yet due to her age. Has been backed and schooled using French School dressage principles so is light in the mouth and responsive to the leg. Hacks alone and in company and is fine with machinery and livestock/dogs, though has only experienced light traffic. Completely unbothered by distractions of other horses in the arena. She's a steady mare rather than sharp but due to her age is not suitable for a novice - despite this she has been ridden on lead rein by my non-horsey boyfriend. She's good in the field, tidy in the stable, good with the vet, dentist and farrier. No vices or blemishes. Has not been tested for PSSM but has been fine on lush grazing all winter so I assume she is negative. Read More
