30 Hyalella Azteca (Nano Amphipod) - Great substrate cleaner for Planted Tank

Hyalella azteca is a freshwater amphipod which lives near the sediment surface, burrowing in sediment and also scavenging on the leaf litter, algae, and detritus material on the sediment surface. They grow to about 10mm and are easily reared in a small tank or plastic container. You will receive a starter colony of 30 mixed size Hyalella Azteca These should be acclimatised, as you would do with a new fish. They have been living in my water which may or may not be quite different to yours in way of Hardness and pH. Also they may have been in transit overnight so the water they are in is much colder that a typical tank, so an immediate temperature change of possibly degrees centigrade can shock them. Please put them in a container, mixing them slowly with some tank water for a short while before adding them to your tank. 125l planted tank set up

125l optiwhite tank (low iron content glass so it's extra clear) and stand, overhead T5 lights (four bulbs on two plugs, one plug system blew out when our power went out, could just be a fuse replacement job but I just switched over to the other two and they were more than enough), TetraTec Ex filter (10x filtration for good flow for plants, taps allow you to lower the flow rate if you desire, all media included used but cleaned), heater (100w, just bought from local pet shop, used since Christmas), nice, twisty bogwood with lots of nooks and crannies for plants, dragon stone (few more bits not pictured but included, cleaned out and ready to use), and assorted other bits and bobs. The tank was one I got second hand and haven't used, all the other equipment was used on an identical sized tank which was my first planted tank. I've added a picture of it when it looked it's best so you know what you can do with this stuff:) I used easy to grow plants with plain sand and liquid ferts but you could easily use a plant substrate and go for a high tech system without replacing any of the hardware.
