Click here to view this lot The war cross, in trilingual Belgium also called "Croix de guerre" and "Kriegskreuz", was founded on 25 October by Royal Decree (war cross ) and was renewed on 20 July by the Belgian Government that had fled to London (war cross ). The Belgian King Leopold III was a prisoner of war in German at the time.The award was intended for bravery and was awarded to soldiers by land, sea and air forces.
