Flock dispersal. Icelandic x Shetland ewes and lambs. £40 I am unfortunately having to downsize my flock due to lack of grazing and other unavoidable circumstances. These are a cross of primitive, short tailed breed I call Shetlandics, I breed them for their diverse fleece colour and quality and their hogget meat which I supply to butchers and restaurants for its slow grown, grass fed, organic (non certified) quality. They are hardly, selective browsers, eating brambles, nettles and thistles as preference, making them excellent Conservation grazers. They are have such friendly temperaments and are incredible mothers. I didn’t have to intervene once during lambing and they gave me 100% with my lambs. Group of 3 Katmoget Pedigree Registered Shetland ewes

3 Grey Katmoget Shetland ewes for sale, from SchoolHouse flock; Schoolhouse Sheila, SchoolHouse Tuppence and SchoolHouse Topsy Both Topsy and Tuppence had triplets this year and Sheila had twins. Self-lambed and reared all three lambs themselves (twins, in Sheila's case!). Nice, strong ewes with good fleeces, very strong mothering instincts, good feet and conformation. Topsy's udder is a bit ugly/large but works efficiently and she is very milky. Selling as I am keeping all their ewe lambs and having a pretty much closed flock of my own (Mallows) breeding only (bar bought-in rams for blood-line variety). Bucket-tame and fully headcollar trained, these ewes are easy to round up and will eat straight from your hand when they get to know you! Wormed and anti-flystrike sprayed to see the season out. Vet Fecal Egg Count results came back as 'negligible'. Topsy and Tuppence are 3 years old and Sheila is a 4 year old so 'been there, done that' kind of ewes with loads more lambs in them yet or can just be nice grass grazers if you don't intend to breed.
