Static Caravan, unique canal side location nr Masseik, Belgium.
I haven't paid this years site fees which are euros (£) The caravan must sell so I am selling at a reduced price of £. That price will include site fees for the year. This static caravan offers a unique opportunity for a very cost effective lifestyle near Maaseik in Belgium. Maastricht is thirty mins away, Cologne, Brussels and Antwerp, an hour and a half, Amsterdam is two and a half. The caravan is located on an island where a large canal momentarily splits. There are about sixty other caravans on the site and also a restaurant and mooring spaces for canal boats and speed boats. There is a small road that leads to the island, crossing over a small bridge. Once you are on the island, breathe deep and relax because it has such a relaxed feel to it. My partner and myself spent a couple of years living there and we loved it, we grew fruit and veg in our garden, swam, fished and kayaked on the canal and enjoyed the island hospitality with the other residents. I am selling because we have bought a narrowboat in the UK and that is now where we are living. That purchase along with my wedding this year has rendered it near on impossible to pay this years site fees, hence why it has to go. The caravan itself is not new but is in great condition for its age and inside is really cosy. As I have mentioned, the garden needs work to restore to its former beauty or simply pulled up and re turfed if you did not want a kitchen garden. Inside the caravan there is a space for a log/pellet burner or simply use a small paraffin or electric heater to keep you warm in the winter, it doesn't take much heating and ample storage. There is one double bedroom, a small bedroom/store, open planned kitchen and living room with IKEA furniture all included. There is a slight bow in the roof at one end, but it was like that when I bought it 5 years ago and has stayed the same and hasn't caused any issues. The toilet and shower are in the shed next to the caravan, the shower is very powerful, has a large emersion heater which keeps water hot all year round with only two hours heating per day. There is a bore hole with a water pump in the shed which pumps ground water in the winter which means if the site closes the main water supply because of freezing, you still have your own water supply. You could live in this caravan all year around if you wanted but you can't use it as a postal address or you could use it as a holiday home. Life on this island is beautiful, it is friendly, peaceful very scenic and very economical. Any questions, feel free to ask. I hope somebody wins this who can appreciate this opportunity. Viewings welcome. The Site is located at - 't Eilandje Harbor / Marina Komweg 11 Neeroeteren, Limburg, Belgium. Ad ID: Delivery Service Consumer Credit
