We are reluctantly having to part with our 2 guinea pigs "arnacan " and "flip flop" aged 1 year due to daughters allergies to fur that we have just discovered. We have a large double hutch with upstairs and downstairs complete with ladders and a bedroom! We also bought a large run for them this year with cost £89 plus we have an indoor cage for when then want them in the house plus bowls and all the other bits and bobs. One is brown with a white patch on its nose and the other white and fluffy with some brown in the mix. I will get a picture if needed of the second one "flip flop" as he didn't want to come out! This is an agonising decision for us as a family. I advertised them a couple of months ago and changed my mind and really got stuck in to try and make it work. It's now become unmanageable. My Grandma has Leukemia and I've been travelling to and fro from Manchester to help. With 3 children and 4 cats the guinea pigs are literally getting fed and cleaned which isn't fair on them as they have always been showered with attention. I have a large bluebell hideaway hutch (over £100 at pets at home) I have a group of 3 girls in the top and 3 boys on the bottom (steps were removed to separate the levels) In the top there is an 5yr old tri coloured female named Rosie, a brown female called Speedy and her daughter who is all white but developing colouring of a himilayan. In the bottom is an 18 month old black male called Wally (he is the most friendliest guinea pig you'll ever meet. He doesn't run away and is always there to greet you. He regularly falls asleep next to my daughter) there are also 2 males who are Speedys son's (so they cannot be mixed with the females in the top as it will be inbreeding and Rosie is far too old for babies) The tri coloured is called Spike due to his white crest on his head and his brother is called Gunther who is also developing himilayan markings. Their dad was a himilayan who was walls cage mate but he died in April this year. The babies were born on the 28th March this year. I've got tons of photos I can send right from when they were born. They will come with the hutch (if the males or females are wanted seperately then the hutch can't go ad I would have nowhere to house the remaining set. They also have a large metal run with a cover. They have toys and whatever food, sawdust, hay and salad is left will be given aswell. I can offer a lifetime of advice and would love updates on them all.
