Cast Iron electric fireplace - 2kW heater with simulated fire glow and coal bed

Modern cast iron fireplace, inserts into fire surround and wall. Black satin finish. Has a 2kW 2 speed electric heater, positioned underneath the upper part of the fire. The hearth has coal over a 'glow orange' simulated fire. This is approx 10 years old, with makers data plate on the back of the fire. Light, fan and heater all work. It's in good condition. Last photo shows fire in situ in it's original surround. Dimensions are: height - 0.72m width - 0.5m Depth - 270mm overall - this is approx 140mm protruding in front of where a fire surround would be, and 130mm behind the front face. BURLEY FREESTANDING 2KW ELECTRIC FIRE WITH REMOVABLE SPACERS FOR INSETTING.

Burley electric fire in excellent cosmetic condition, but please note, THE 1KW HEAT SETTING DOES NOT WORK, ONLY THE FULL 2KW IS WORKING. The fire has only ever been used on the 1KW setting as it was sufficient for our size room but recently when switching on it will NOT FUNCTION on that setting. The thermostat clicks but no heat comes out. I am not an electrician but I assume the 1KW element has gone and can be replaced if you know how (I don't)! The 2KW setting appears to work as normal, and boy does it throw out some heat and the thermostat appears to cycle as usual on that setting. We mainly used the fire for a focal point and just a quick boost to the room heating. If you are not too bothered about it only working on the 2KW setting or would only use it for the coal/flame effect it could be ideal. The flame effect is very realistic and the coal is REAL coal pieces. The coal is arranged on top of a moulded plastic container and the light shines through and flickers up the back of the fire and looks realistic. The fire is mainly all metal construction and has a hefty solid metal grate and pull out ash bottom panel, unlike the modern fires which are flimsy gilt coloured plastic. It can be used as a wall recessed fire or as in the photos with the spacers and placed flat against the wall. The fan is contained in the hood and blows out and into the room.
