FOR SALE: One used Sea Anchor / Storm Drogue with 24 metre (approx) Rode Line. All man-made material (believed to be Polypropylene). Tether is made from 25 mm wide webbing. Although this item is sold as 'used' it appears never to have been used in anger but it has been stored next to rusty equipment at some time and there are some brown marks on the material. There is no other damage that I can see. I purchased it used about 9 months ago but no longer have a use for it. I washed it carefully after purchase and it has been stored dry in my house since. I do not know when it was manufactured. This sea kayak is approximately 40 years old and made from good quality marine plywood; it was completely restored four years ago and only used 6 times since. Restoration comprised of all varnish and most of the fiberglass tape being removed from the hull and decks, holes were cut in the decks to fit two bulkheads and water tight hatches made, it then had two coats of epoxy primer to the whole of the outside, new glass tape with epoxy resin applied, then two coats of epoxy undercoat and two coats of 2 pack polyurethane. In side the varnish was in good condition so was left as is apart from a coat of paint in the cockpit area, all new fair leads fitted to deck for rope, bungee and carrying handles. New comfortable foam seat and backrest fitted. A fixed skeg was fitted to help with weather cocking in strong cross winds. Size m) long and cm) wide. I can deliver, up to about 20 miles. This kayak can actually fit two adults and a child on it! We've used it with two plus a dog! Comes with two paddles, which can be split in half so they can fit in the car boot. It has two spacious waterproof compartments for keys, phone etc. Also has rubber 'cups' to plug the holes if you're going on calm water and don't need water to drain out.
