Hi, I have a flock of Shetland x Icelandic’s (mix with primitive breeds including Foula, Manx and Hebridean) for their fleece and hardiness. I have a beautiful Icelandic x Shetland rams for sale and 2 shetland x icelandic ram lambs. He gave me the most amazing crop of lambs this year, 100% and some beautiful fleece patterns. But I shall be changing rams this year so are to sell on. If I could keep them I would, as they have such lovely temperaments and very easy to handle with lovely fleeces and one is Polled. Location. Icelandic x shetland Ram for sale

¾ Icelandic to ¼ Shetland Ram Name: Sid. Born: in April years old) Personality: Beautiful temperament, a friendly nature, bucket trained. Health: Complete clean bill of health, never had any problems; he’s been both wormed and shorn. He’s a dual-purpose animal, sires for both meat/fleece. Size: For a primitive breed animal, he's large in stature. He would be good to cross with less hardy breeds. Siring status: Proven, (I’m happy to email photos of his lambs) Background: Last year I had to disband my flock of animals due to personal bereavement. Of the 30 rams I did have, I held onto Sid because of his good conformation and strong breeding lines from both his mother’s (Shetland/Icelandic) and his father’s (pure Icelandic) genes. Reason for selling - I’m downing sizing my flock once again to make it more manageable. Flock dispersal. Icelandic x Shetland ewes and lambs. £40 I am unfortunately having to downsize my flock due to lack of grazing and other unavoidable circumstances. These are a cross of primitive, short tailed breed I call Shetlandics, I breed them for their diverse fleece colour and quality and their hogget meat which I supply to butchers and restaurants for its slow grown, grass fed, organic (non certified) quality. They are hardly, selective browsers, eating brambles, nettles and thistles as preference, making them excellent Conservation grazers. They are have such friendly temperaments and are incredible mothers. I didn’t have to intervene once during lambing and they gave me 100% with my lambs.
