19th Century Black Lacquered Pine Wedding Chest.

A 19th century pine chest which I have been told by an auctioneer that it is a wedding or hope chest. Items were stored away ready for the marriage of a daughter. This chest has been used for travelling around the early part of the 20th century as it has the remains of railway destination labels still on it. It is in unrestored condition and has a few knocks and scrapes from its approx 160 years of life. Would make a great coffee table with the benefit of added storage, or use it however you want, a good conversation piece. Mid century lacquered chest of draws

Remastered mid century cabinet/ chest of draws. sprayed with white and clear Matt lacquer to create a shabby chic distressed appearance. Furthermore this finish also shows transparency throughout the carcass and draw boxes so you can still see the beautiful wood texture. This makes it a far more interesting unit compared to a solid white colour or brush finish. Also comes with a key so you can lock any desired draw box. Draw box handles are also sprayed with a smooth gold finish this heightens its functions but also makes the unit stand out in any environment.
