Free riding for an experienced person to come and enjoy/school my mare 3 times a week. She has lost all of her fitness since going down from being ridden 6 times a week to 3. No costs other than your own 3rd party riding insurance. Must be able to commit to three days per week long term and not just for summer. Days available are Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays and Sundays. Based near Swinderby. Must be over 18 and can hit the ground running as in not returning from a long break but can get straight in the saddle and be competent. Clydesdale x shire mare, 6 years old, only recently haltered and started handling, 17.1hh or so, she now leads, ties up, loads and catches with a bucket(some days I dont need a bucket), she needs more time spent doing the basics, we have had her feet up but until she is lifting daily I feel this is a not progressing as fast as it could, she is kind natured but genuinely green and big! if you are nervous or novice please do not contact me as you will not be offered her, she will thrive in a routine with a knowledgeable and experienced person who understands the requirements of an unhandled horse of this size. She has been in a herd environment which is not ideal as it means she gets less one to one and the others are all super petted and squish her out the way.
