Revel is a 16hh Irish Sports Horse. He is 6 years old and has proven to be a wise head on young shoulders! He was broken in as a 3 year old, and left to mature before going on to do varied things. He has hunted, been on many fun rides, riding club events, show jumped, and had regular show jumping, dressage and XC lessons. He is used to traffic and good to hack out alone or in company. If in company he is great at being the leader but not so keen on being led, however never does anything silly. Good to load in to lorry or trailer, shoe and groom etc. He has amazing breeding lines, with his Grandsire being the infamous Quidam De Revel. This horse is bred to jump! His Grandsire is: Quidam de Revel is one of the best performers of his generation. In , Quidam de Revel topped the World Breeding Championships Jumping Stallion ratings for the second year running, established himself as the pre-eminent - and most expensive - living sire of jumping horses. Broodmare/Project Horse 16hh ISH Bay Mare

Ballygarrett Bonnie Rose aka Double D. 8 years old, bay mare. 16hh but looks much bigger. Currently in work and hacking out. I'm advertising her as a broodmare or project as she is a big strong mare who has a few issues. I bought her 'off the field' and have had no problem reintroducing her back to ridden work after 2 years off. She can be spooky to handle especially with hind feet with a farrier. She is fully shod but you need a patient farrier. She's good to hack and is fantastic in all traffic. She just does not like other horses (that she doesn't know, I've ridden her out lots in company) coming up too close behind her. I rode her on a recent hunt ride and she was perfect until strange horses came up behind her and she shot off away from them. She will jump but there does appear to be some sort of issue as one day she'll jump then other days she takes off at a fence and runs out. She needs time and patience if she were to be fully ridden again. She would be an ideal riding horse / show horse / dressage for someone who is knowledgable - she is fine in a group lesson or indoor/outdoor ménage with other horses going round. This lovely mare has been with me for nearly two years doing ODE's, team jumping for BRC, County level showing (placed) etc. Does a beautiful dressage test. Ex ROR, so eleigible for those classes. Excellent manners, very easy to handle. Good to shoe, load, travel, clip etc. Schooled up to 100/novice level but competes at . NOT A NOVICE RIDE. She is snaffle mouthed on the flat but has a universal to jump in. Her flatwork is lovely, she has a very light, soft mouth however she is strong and quick to jump. When shes jumped regularly shes very good but if left she gets strong and rushes. Bombproof to hack, never spooky, will go first or last. Very bold XC. Two very nice saddles and decent wardrobe. Really sad sale of Lulu. I bought her at Christmas as a 'forever horse' only for a change of job to happen in March and I am now living away with work so its not going to make having a horse possible. I bought Lulu to event. She has bred a coloured foal as a 4 year old after she was broken briefly. I bought her round Christmas and since then she has been with a professional rider who has rebroken her and begun to ride her away. Jumps gates and walls with ease and has never said no to anything with me. I've used him for stock work with cattle, sheep and ponies. Used to farm machinery and is great in traffic. Also, good to clip and shoe. Just had his teeth done and not long been shod. Not a novice ride as he is forward going. Good weight carrier, I weigh 16 stone and we go all day!

16hh Irish Sports Horse for Sale in Brixham

I am looking for a new home for my 5 year (6 in Jan) 16hh ISH, dark bay. He is a safe hack which is what I have only used him for, he hacks out both alone and in company, is very good in heavy traffic of all kinds and good in open spaces, he is not sharp and doesn't hot up. Not spooky, may look at something new but a bit of leg and he rides on past. He is good to catch - comes to the gate, groom, tack up and stands at the mounting block, good with farrier and vet, he is good in his stable and happy to live in or out. His previous owner jumped him and he travelled to me in a trailer. He is however strong to lead and frequently tries to bite me - this is why I am looking to sell him as I feel he needs a more confident, experienced person to manage him on the ground as he knows he can get the better of me and I have lost confidence (I have asthma and struggle when trying to control him when being lead).... so find myself riding him less therefore I've made the decision to look for an older horse with a more laid back temperament.
