Walsall made pony dressage saddle.  In very good used condition. Rare to find a wide 16" true pony dressage saddle! Stamped Gallop on the flap. British standard on the stirrup bar. Good quality English leather throughout, and well made. Stamped 'Made in Walsall, England' on the sweatflap. Good big knee block. Versatile, comfy and secure. Good wide and well padded seat. Lovely broad panels and wide gullet. Puts you in a correct position. Set back stirrup bars. Suede seat and knees for more grip. Measures 16" from stud to centre of cantle. Measures 9 1/2" across the dee's. Nice Wide to Extra Wide fit.  Flap measures 15" from stirrup bar to bottom.  Tree is sound. The stitching is strong, and girth straps are in good condition. Has point strap fitted, to help stability, and holds the saddle well behind the horse's shoulder. Panels are wool flocked and soft and even. Just normal signs of wear and use. Girth guards are stamped Windsor, saddle is made from English leather, length 16.5 inches, rough d to d measurement is 6inches. Saddle is a little older and has the normal signs of wear and good use but is in an overall very good condition. I have had it for 1 year and it has been unused and kept safely stored away. Saddle was purchased as a dressage saddle but the knee rolls are slightly angled so would easily do as a gp saddle. Perfect if you are looking for a relatively cheap or starter saddle. 16.5” Saddle Company Sienna calf skin black Dressage saddle XXW Top of the range calf skin leather always kept indoors with protective cover. 5 yrs old there is a scuff on the cantle and under the rear panel and a slight cracking in the leather behind the block on the offside, and marks from the girth straps on the skirts - please message for pics. This was made to fit my 14.1hh Connemara who is a little barrel on legs so the rear girth strap is set a little further back for more stability. Unfortunately this saddle is surplus to requirements as whilst it fits the pony, it doesn't fit the child it was intended for! It is in extremely good condition and as the photos show is leather with serge panels and synthetic flaps so is the best of all worlds! It has a wide gullet & wide panels to distribute the weight of the rider away from the spine, and is designed to fit awkward-shaped native ponies with broad flat backs & no withers. I do not have space in my tack room for all the saddles that I have found really useful and comfortable so am having a clear-out and getting rid of everything very cheaply! I have listed this item elsewhere so may end the auction early, but I am happy for anyone near to RG9 to view it, or else to try it on. I myself have had a nightmare with various courier companies that claim to not be able to find the house or find anyone at home, so I am happy to send at cost via the buyer's preferred company, in the meantime I will list P+P as £15, but it could well be less
