8 years.. Quality bay mare, kind temperament. Been used as a broodmare and ridden last year doing so xc dressage and all activities.. I intended to breed from her this year but haven't. I got her about a year ago when I was told she was slightly lame after slipping in the mud in a field. Her owner hadn't got the vet out. We had physioand she came right quickly.. 16.2hh warmblood x TB mare for sale. Rosie is a 13 year old ex eventer, that in the last few years has ended up in the wrong home, and then gone through several homes until I ended up buying her from the field of a dealers yard. Unfortunately being naive after having just lost my horse of a lifetime, I was led to believe she would be the perfect horse for me once she was back in work. But unfortunately I am just overhorsed with her. If you are looking for a horse that you can ride twice a week or less, that you just want to have fun on, hacking out and schooling etc. Then scroll on as she is definitely not that. Rosie has a weatherbys passport as her Dam was a competing racehorse (Diplomatic Fashion VII), whereas her sire is a British warmblood called Heatley Avalon VII. Rosie is an amazing horse with fantastic dressage skills, I believe at some point she has been doing quite advanced dressage as she knows all the moves (unlike me), that thrives on being in a variety of work 5+ days a week. She loves routine and enjoys going off in the trailer to compete. Rosie is great to catch, lead, tie up, groom, tack up, bath, clip etc. She is brilliant with the farrier when being trimmed (she is currently successfully barefoot and has lovely solid hooves. She was also barefoot in her previous home also) and is also great for the vet, but needs sedation for the dentist. She had quite a lot of dental work done when I got her home and 6 months later, and has since just had routine rasping of all areas including the front teeth. Rosie is up to date with all vaccinations, teeth, and worming. When in regular daily work, Rosie is a fantastic horse that aims to please and is very showy with fantastic paces. She hacks out in company and alone, although in company she prefers to lead as she hates being behind any horse that is slower than her, as she has a big stride and easily covers ground. She is pretty much fantastic in all traffic as due to being next to a busy main road, she has had to face everything in the nearly 2 years we have had her. Rosie has never reared or bucked with us, however she has bolted on several occasions which has always been on the first time ridden after being off work several days or longer (normally due to us being too busy or bad weather etc). Unfortunately she just turns into a big ball of energy when not regularly exercised, and so she normally puts it into throwing dressage moves at you until she has relaxed, which if you are out hacking the last thing you want to be doing is a half pass in a controlled canter down the road, with the occasional pirouette and then continuing the half pass leading from her other side..... Occasionally she just feels the need to run it off (guess that's her mums racehorse genes running in her blood) and this is when she will just canter on the spot until she is able to go. Thankfully she only does this on grass, which is unfortunate for us as we only have a grass school..... However when we have hired out a proper sand and rubber school, she is so much better behaved and a joy to ride. Rosie loves being able to go somewhere to have an unrestricted gallop on a regular basis. This really helps keep her sane and then in-between she produces her best school work. My daughter has jumped Rosie and she goes over anything you point her at, but prefers bigger jumps of a very minimum of 2ft 6 or she just goes flat out towards them and gets frustrated. Rosie would be a fantastic horse for someone that knows how to do higher level dressage, is used to competition horses and has the time to keep her in regular work and take her out competing. She would do best on a busy yard with a good routine and a proper school to work in. Rosie thrives for a set routine and can get a little anxious if the routine changes. Rosie is currently not competition fit, and is not in regular work, so after reading this ad, if anyone is interested in Rosie, they will be seeing her 'at her worst'. It is due to this that we are only asking £800 for her, as it is most important that she finds the right home with someone that can work with her. 16.2 Dutch warmblood gelding

Very very sad sale of my Dutch Warmblood “Buddy” 16.2 Chestnut Gelding out of Oliver x Voltaire Buddy is the perfect allrounder horse, he has done sponsored rides, hunter trials, hunting, dressage, SJ & Unaffiliated eventing. He hacks alone or in company, is good to shoe, clip and travel, does not rear or nap etc. Buddy on his first unaffiliated one day event last year finished on a dressage score winning us second place at Elmwood, he will make a fantastic little eventer for a lightweight adult or experienced teenager moving onto horses, he is a cross country machine, jumps ditches, hedges, water, banks everything he is very forward going in XC and needs to be ridden in a gag or as such with a curb chain however schools at home and hacks in a snaffle, he is the kind of horse that has unlimited amounts of energy I have never reached a point where he has been fatigued hence making him the perfect little eventer, We have regular lessons with Austin O `connor and he advises Buddy is ready to affiliate. I have had Buddy since a 5 year old, I am selling as I need a bigger horse with more bone due to me being tall and quite heavy and i feel that i have always been too big and heavy for buddy hence why I ask for a lightweight competant rider, Buddy is NOT A NOVICE RIDE but he is not a dangerous ride either if you like them forward going then he is the horse for you, he is very sensitive goes off the leg easily he also does have a sensitive mouth but can be very strong in XC. Buddy is great around children and dogs he loads into a trailer but here is his negative point and why i feel he is going for such a competative price… Buddy weaves terribly if left in a stable for long periods of time, he also weaves in the trailer however i have stopped this by putting up a grill in my trailer, Buddy needs to be out as much as possible as for the past 2 years has been living out with no problem he is fine if you bring him in last at night and make sure he is first out in the morning, if you stick to a solid routine for him then you will have no trouble but if you leave him in during the day then he will start. This horse is a very sensitive soul and requires a calm and patient owner to get the best out of him, he doesn’t like change and thrives off of routine if you can offer him this security then he will be the right horse for you, he lives for one 2 one contact with both humans and horses and loves to be groomed, hugged and petted. I am trying to be as open and honest as possible other than that he has manners to die for. Please feel free to PM me any questions you may have please note this is a very hard decision for me to sell this quality horse but I just feel that he would do much better with someone else, I am proud to say i have got him to where he is now, note that potential homes will be vetted and I will not be letting him go to just anyone. Please note I am in no rush what so ever to sell this horse and will wait years if need be for the right home, he is priced at a value to which I feel he is worth, he is open to vetting but obviously will fail based on the weaving alone, he is fit and ready to go. Poppy loves having attention and would excel with an owner that does not want to do too much but would like to ride out once in a while, she is happy to take you over poles and jumps, always ready to please the rider at whatever level. Stunning 12yr 16.2 KWPN warmblood bay gelding.

This beautiful boy has done all riding activities including hunting, showjumping and dressage. Three very elastic flowing paces and a bold jump, a super straight forward ride and a true school master. This is a very hard decision for us and we only want a 10* home for him. ISH/KWPN warmblood 7yo 16.2 bay mare

I have come to the very difficult decision to sell my super mare. I bought her with the intention of competing BD, which I think she will be very successful at - she is built uphill with lovely paces but is just too big for me. I haven't jumped her as is not my thing but she has Alme, Acrobat II bloodlines so certainly bred for it and know she has with previous owner. She is great in traffic, I have to cross a busy A road and regularly ride/lead across it and she is foot perfect. She is great with farm machinery, tractors, dogs, children and has very good stable manners, I have never had to clip other than trim - she is very good, no lumps, bumps.
