15hh Appaloosa Mare

Heartbreaking decision to sell this gorgeous horse as she's not getting enough attention. This is Miffy, she is a 15hh 9 year old appaloosa mare. She can live with mares and geldings. She is barefoot and can be ridden bit less or bitted as she is very responsive. Good in the school and out hacking either on roads or moors, never fizzy. She has jumped 2ft previously but I'm not into jumping so never persued this however she has freeschooled over 3 1/2 ft jumps easily. She is exellent at shows nothing phases her and she is always admired for her colouring, and have done little bits of cross country with her. She has four good paces and very good breaks. The quirks: she can be a bit spooky going to new places on her own for the first time out on rides, nothing nasty just does a little jump on the spot. Has to wear a uv fly mask nearly all year round because her eyes and nose burn when the sun comes out and the uv irritates her eyes, but is usually good at keeping her fly mask on! Comes with all tack and rugs. Doesn't need feeding unless working hard she lives off air. Just looking for a nice home where she will be loved and taken out and about because I feel guilty having her as a field ornament! 5 year old, 14.1 mare. Started over winter. Have done loads of ground work, very responsive - sides up to mounting block and stands like a rock to get on. Backed and walked and trotted around school. Was a little unsure when 1st had her but is now fantastic to handle on the ground - can catch, rug, tack up, lead, pick feet up etc. Not mareish in anyway. She needs time now getting used to someone on her back - again was little unsure at first when shifting weight around but gets better each time ride her. Fab project for someone looking for young horse to start. Also would make excellent brood mare. One rein stops and will back up to pressure.Someone has clearly not been very nice to her before me as she was nervous when I had her. Significantly more trusting now (fine to catch, lead, tack up, handle in stable etc) and with time will make fantastic horse. Because of this however she needs somone who is willing to take time with her and not rush her. Breed lovely filly foal over summer and carries spotty gene so also fantastic brood mare. Appy is a stunning 14.2 Appaloosa mare, 10yrs old. She's a lovely mare to be around. Good to clip, box, bath and shoe. She turns out with mares and geldings, lives out 24/7 but can be stabled. Sadly for sale as she is getting bored in the field and needs a job to do! She's not strong but is forward going so needs a confident competent rider. She is good in open spaces.
