  15.5" Native pony show Saddle (not Fylde)

This is a virtually unused 15.5 inch Medium/Wide saddle (8.5inches between D rings) superb English leather saddle made in Somerset by Rich and Sons, ideal for hacking or showing. This was a great fit on a 14.2 part bred Welsh Sec D and is very comfortable to sit on. It is fairly deep and therefore gives a very secure position. Being a GP saddle it can be used for most disciplines. The maker was asked by the prospective and rather insistent owner to fit a crupper but of course this was not needed on a 14.2hh pony so needless to say it was taken off hence the marks on the rear of the cantle but of course it doesnt affect the saddle performance. This was a great fit on a 13.2 SHP and won classes at the BSPS summer championships. It is also very comfortable to ride in. This saddle has been to the top, used at county level and needs to find its next home. Lovely two tone black English leather made by Dominion English saddlers. 15" from centre of stud to cantle, straight cut flaps that are 12" from stirrup bar to edge of flaps. 10" from D to D and 6" gullet well fitted to a sec A flat backed pony, with a narrow waist for little bodies to feel comfortable. Polishes up lovely for the show ring. Can be collected cash on collection.

Beautiful English Leather saddle by Farrington.   Immaculate condition, and very neat. Fits and rides very much like the Fylde saddles: Square cantle.   Full panel with knee and thigh block.   I bought this as 15.5", but it actually measures 15" from centre of stud to centre of cantle (15.5" from front edge if stud).   Stamped M on stirrup bar, but the ponies I have used it on have both taken MW in Fylde fittings... Used equally well on 11.2hh LR pony and 12.2 welsh part bred. A lovely little saddle suitable for top class showing! Viewing welcome. The Verona soft leather 15" in black has been used on a 13.2 Darmour x. I would say he was a wide fit. Future adjustments to any width are also possible. The Saddle Company Pony saddles are built on the TreeTec injection moulded plastic tree, which ensures symmetry in manufacture and an even weight bearing surface for the pony.
