Spirit was bought 5 weeks ago by my friend who is a very novice rider and she has found she is not confident enough to learn on Spirit. She is a 15.2 Skewbald mare, lovely manners, easy to catch if you keep head collar on. Nice trot but she has a tendency to bunny hop into a lovely canter. Heartbreaking sale of my beautiful Rising 9 years old 15.1hh skewbald cob mare. She is a good sturdy weight carrying type who is Good to catch, shoe, box, bath, lead etc. Passported, microchipped and up to date with teeth, feet & worming. Erica is absolutely full of character & personality. Currently barefoot as she has fantastic feet but has been shod in the past. Has been turned away over the winter so needs bringing back in to work (reflected in the price) but it wouldn't take long for her to be back up to scratch. She is safe and sensible, doesn't kick buck bolt rear or bite, however she needs a confident & experienced rider to get the best out of her and therefore is not suitable for a novice. Way of going very correct. Nice compact little horse with great presence and good confirmation. Very soft in the mouth, she is forward going but not strong in any way. Stunning black mare Approx 15.1hh, 4 year old, Irish, mare. Beautiful good looking, fantastic moving sweet mare. Has been backed for 8 weeks and has been the easiest youngster to do, improves every day and does not say no to anything. Work on the lunge is perfect, listens and responds to voice commands quickly. Loves pole work and self corrects to make sure she doesn't touch them. Schooling is green due to age but is improving every day. Learning to accept contact and work in an established and correct outline. Very well balanced for a youngster and again is improving daily. Has jumped in the school and is taking to this perfectly. Also has done lots of ridden pole work and raised poles. Has jumped logs out hacking around the farm. Great to hack out, not fussed by any traffic. Currently on farm so used to large and noisy machinery. Manners to die for in the stable and around the yard, can be led around by anyone, Stood like a rock to be clipped and have mane pulled. No lumps, No bumps, No sarcoids, No splints, Straight limbs. No stable vices at all. Snaffle mouthed, not strong, never gets silly. Is going to make a very talented young rider or pony club horse. Extremely sad sale. I have owned Chip for 7yr. But due to a massive change in circumstances I no longer have the time he deserves. He is 11yr old. He is up to date with his injections, dentist, farrier. In the 7yr I have owner him I have never once had any health problems at all. His is a good dooer. He will happily live in or out. He is barefoot and never needed shoes. I am quite a nervous rider and he's never made me feel unsafe although if riding out alone he does require a more confident rider as he can be a bit nappy. I have never known him to rear or buck but he can have a little boy strop and do little bunny hops but that's as bad as I've known him. I have just used him as a happy hack but he takes to anything asked of him so I'm sure in the right hands he'd excel in any area you wish. He did go with my friend for jumping lessons and took to it easily although I haven't jumped him myself for quite a while. He is fantadtic in the heaviest of traffic. I've ridden past combined harvesters, tractors, bikes etc and nothing fazes him. I bought new tack for him last year which he will come with. Read More
