We are looking for a perfect home for this young at heart lady, we've acquired her to bring back to work and to sell on basically, no hidden reasons etc. Edi in her prime had competed local level SJ with a young girl who loved her dearly, and then unfortunately she had to be sold via auction to clear debt. We've taken our time to bring Edi's condition back Upto standard and she's now regularly hacking out. Edi is fantastic to hack out in company not spooky will go first or last. On her own she needs riders confidence but will go out, although I'm sure with a more confident rider than she has currently she'll show her confidence as she does in company. Again due to current riders skills she'd go far in more experienced hands schooling, but will happily school currently showing relaxation and willingness. Ive allowed my 6 yr old son to ride Edi who's a complete novice BUT he's not scared at all and Edi performs at he rbest with him, she certainly looks after him when he's aboard although I wouldn't recommend her for a complete novie as she can be abit strong sometimes BUT having said that she's been perfect as a lead rain pony and really enjoys that job. Ideally I'd like to see her go to either lead rain or confident light child/adult that could handle her if she got a bit head strong, but all in all she's been fantastic with us I can not fault her at all and if I had time for a 4th she'd stay with me but I'm far to busy as it is with my own. Good to do she'll live out 24/7 we are feeding her stance equine copra meal to keep her condition up and obviously the food has the oils in it as she's 14 although you'd think she's allot younger. Has mainly been a happy hacker over the years but has also done a little basic schooling. Proving to be willing and a quick learner - just sadly a huge lack of time on our part to be consistent with her - it's there, just rusty at present. Was doing leg yield, travers, renvers, turn on the forehand and rein back - responsive to half halts, weight and seat aids. Showing promise over small fences, will happily pop in trot or canter, keeping a nice rhythm and without getting silly. Pops logs out hacking too. Snaffle mouthed at all times. A very straightforward mare. Great for vet/dentist/osteo/farrier/worm etc. Hasn't travelled an awful lot with us, but we've been in both trailers and lorries alone/with others without any issues. Will make someone a super little Allrounder or PC/RC prospect with a tiny bit of work. Currently living out and in her winter woolies, with a low neck and belly clip. We have recently taken her to our yard, in order to ride her a little more regularly for mum, but sadly we just don't have enough time to give her due to having our own horses and baby no.2 on the way shortly.
