13hh Perfect Pony

***REDUCED FROM £***Tonto (which is Portuguese for idiot). Is an amazing little pony. He will love you unconditionally if there is food in your hand. He will roll in dirt five minutes after you groom him and he will clamp his mouth shut when he sees his bridle. However, he will take care of your child when they are on his back, he will do as your child asks especially if they have polos in their pocket. He is good with the farrier, he doesn't complain about the dentist, he will even tolerate a vet with good grace. He doesn't like the taste of wormer but will suffer it in silence. He is easier to walk than our dogs. When he is hacking out alone he will behave himself but will insist on shouting out to all the horses he passes. Hes friendly like that. In a group he suddenly thinks hes a thoroughbred, not in behaviour but his little legs will carry him as fast as they can (which is pretty fast) to keep up. Actually I am sure hes passed some retired racehorses in his time. He likes to jump but he isn't very good at it, anything bigger than a baby bounce and he feels he should go through it. When we have taken him to local shows hes behaved impeccably and usually places in the cob classes. Everyone who meets him loves him. His eight year old owner says that "Hes a teaching pony and its time that he taught someone else". I say he is a mothers dream, or would suit a small adult who wants something safe. Read more

Very sad sale of our gorgeous 12.2hh palomino gelding! Sad sale of our lovely pony Roo. She is a 13hh 13 yrs British Riding Pony. We have owned Roo for 4 years but she is now sadly outgrown. She was bought for my 8 year old son as his 1st pony and has taught him to ride taking him from walk/trot to jumping a course of 65cm and single fence of 95cm. Roo is a forward going pony and needs a capable confident rider. She has been a member of Barlow Hunt Pony Club for 4 years(references available) attending numerous rallies,mini camp and the last 2 years senior camp at Somerford Park plus other stay away camps and has been to Field Farm twice, she stays away from home with no fuss either in a stable or paddock. She has also attended many local riding club shows. Roo loads and travels great. Is good with farrier (shod all round), dentist, vet and physio but does need sedating for clipping. She is happy to be in the field by herself but likes company when stabled. She is great to handle and my son does everything independently with her. Roo is an amazing hack and will go for hours through fields and woods over bridges, ditches etc she is also rock solid with all traffic. I know when my sons goes out hacking with the other livery’s on our yard she will bring him back safe and with a big smile on his face. She is also great to lunge and long line.
