Freshman 'Maple Ridge' 12-string guitar with hard case
Freshman FA1AM12 ‘Maple Ridge’ electro-acoustic 12-string guitar, complete with strap and high quality TGI hard case. The Freshman FA1AM-string electro acoustic guitar is part of the Maple Ridge series, and has a solid Canadian Sitka Spruce top and Quilted Maple back and sides. The folk size body gives good balance across the strings, with the mid-range clarity to make the guitar cut through in a group situation. The Venetian cutaway gives good access to the higher frets, and the Fishman Isys under-saddle pickup and onboard pre-amp give a particularly good amplified sound. Freshman Acoustic Guitars are designed in the UK. Each instrument is inspected and tested for playability by experienced Luthiers before it leaves the UK factory. This very handsome and colourful-sounding guitar cost £395 new, but has only been used at home and at a few open mic sessions, and is in near-mint condition. Having recently moved to a smaller house, I need to say goodbye to two of my guitars, and reserve space for my main three instruments. In addition to the photos, I have made a video of my son improvising on the guitar in drop-D tuning to give an idea of the sound. The first piece was played unplugged, and with the camera about 50cm from the guitar. The second piece was played through a Marshall ASD50 acoustic amp and the camera 2m from the guitar. https://youtu.be/_q3iDmvHgYA Features/Specifications: Body Type: Folk Body Cutaway 12-String Electro Acoustic Top: Solid Canadian Sitka Spruce Back: Quilted Maple Sides: Quilted Maple Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Rosewood Binding: Tortoise Shell Hardware: Gold-effect machine heads Electronics: Fishman Isys 201 System: Under-saddle pickup, pre-amp on upper bout with controls for contour (tone), phase and volume.
