Dolly is a Welsh cross Leid rein pony, rising 5, I have recently brought her for my 13 year old and two other smaller children to ride she is a first ridden/ Leid rein and is great at her job but unfortunately isn't suitable for us as she doesn't go off Leid rein, she follows like a dog and is 110% in traffic alone,nothing seems to have phased her in the short time we have had her, she loves children and more than adults, i have sat on her and walked her off Leid rein but am to big for her so with a confident strong child she could go very far, she has a nice little jump on her on Leid rein and is a stunning girl, good with feet good to load, can be a cow to catch when she doesn't know you but always comes with her food. Such a shame she is going to be a lovely pony, she is passported and had her vaccinations, worked and she's bare foot and up to date with trims. Our beloved pony Barney is sadly up for sale after 7 great years. All my children have ridden him from being toddlers and he has been their first pony so this is such a sad sale. He enjoys being worked and will whinny when he sees you bringing tack so it's unfair on him to be left without a job. I am advertising him as a lead rein pony as this is what he prefers in a schooling situation as he can be nappy without his leader in the arena and he much prefers having mum or dad to walk beside or even run in front. He will hack out perfectly off the lead and goes off your voice. He has been ridden around hopton x country off the lead and on the farnley ride and Escrick park. He will jump small jumps and has got a good jump but it's not something he enjoys. He is just ridden now and then at the moment but he is exactly the same ride how ever long he is left. Barney has been involved with all pony club activities including mounted games, mini camp, mini cross country, lessons and jumping with my daughter from being age 5. He has competed on the mini mounted games for 2 seasons on the lead and did wetherby weekend this year off the lead in the junior team and did great. Totally unfazed with a busy environment and does not get silly or excitable, he's very happy to stand on the line and just wait his turn and knows the equipment. When at shows he just stands patiently and nods off. He will ride and lead and is responsive to voice commands which is great for teaching little ones to canter on the lead. A shout of whoa quickly brings him back to walk! We've stayed away at shows and he is happy to be corralled in an pen and will not stress if left on his own, he just enjoys being out and having a job to do. He can be a bit grumpy to handle and will pull the odd face. He will live out with a shelter or come in at night and he is happy with both. He is very clean in the stable and will poo in a bucket at the back! He can be left for weeks and then ridden and he is exactly the same, just steady away. My little girls lead her and pick out her little feet. She loads beautifully onto our trailer every time. I have a lovely section B pony for sale...great Lead rein/first pony, 13hh, 12 years old in April. Very laid back, loves hacking out on own or in company. A good stamp.
